The RE:Define Founder
Lauren Crabtree is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Angela Bulls, LPC-S, and the founder of RE:Define Therapy. She specializes in working with high school seniors, college students, and young adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity development, self-worth, and recurring emotional or relational patterns that leave them feeling stuck. Her approach is structured, goal-oriented, and focused on helping clients move beyond insight alone to create meaningful, lasting change.
Drawing from Narrative Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gestalt techniques, Lauren helps clients identify the patterns influencing their thoughts, emotions, and relationships while equipping them with practical tools to move forward with greater confidence and clarity. She believes therapy should provide both support and direction, empowering clients to become the leaders of their own lives rather than remaining dependent on the therapeutic process.
As a faith-based counselor, Lauren is passionate about supporting clients not only in their emotional and relational growth, but also in their relationship with God. For those who desire it, Christian principles are thoughtfully integrated into the counseling process, creating space to explore faith, identity, purpose, and healing through both a clinical and biblical lens. Her goal is to help clients experience transformation that is emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, and sustainable long after therapy ends.
Lauren holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Her mission is to help clients break free from the patterns that have been defining their lives so they can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
RE:Define Story
RE:Define Therapy was created from the belief that therapy should do more than provide insight; it should create meaningful, lasting change. Many young adults enter therapy feeling stuck in recurring patterns of anxiety, overthinking, burnout, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or uncertainty about who they are and where they are headed. While insight is valuable, understanding a pattern is only the beginning. Real transformation happens when that awareness is translated into action.
RE:Define was built to bridge the gap between insight and application. Through a structured, goal-oriented approach, clients are guided through a therapeutic process designed to help them identify the patterns keeping them stuck, develop practical tools for change, and confidently apply those changes in everyday life. To support this process, RE:Define offers focused therapeutic programs that address common challenges faced by high school seniors, college students, and young adults. These programs serve as roadmaps - not requirements - and therapy is always tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
As a faith-based practice, RE:Define recognizes that emotional and spiritual growth are often deeply connected. For clients seeking faith-based counseling, Christian principles are thoughtfully integrated into the therapeutic process, creating space to strengthen both emotional health and relationship with God. The goal is not to keep clients in therapy indefinitely, but to equip them with the clarity, tools, confidence, and self-leadership needed to move forward long after therapy ends.
